Perfect Hard Boiled Eggs

There are several recipes on making perfect hard boiled eggs and we have a couple of them featured on this site. And if you eat just about a dozen eggs a month or so then there is no point to use anything else than a good recipe and a nice pot filled with water. The biggest and coolest of them all being the West Bend 86628 Automatic Egg Cooker which will soft, hard or medium boil up to 7 eggs. In addition to that it can poach 4 eggs in non-stick poaching pans. So cleaning it is a breeze. The even greater thing is that the egg holder is detachable so as soon as your eggs are done you can hold them under a clear cold running tab of water and chill them so you can easily handle them. So if you have a large family or if you like making egg salads and the such the West Bend Automatic Egg Cooker is the perfect solution for your perfect hard boiled eggs or your poached eggs or however else you take them.

However if a bulky machine isn’t something that you want to have on your kitchen table and you are not worried that you are going to need to make a lot of perfect hard boiled eggs all at a time then you might enjoy the Cuisinart egg cooker. It does say that it cooks 7 eggs but in fact you can get that top number only if you poach 3 and boil the other 4. So it is in fact a lot smaller than the West Bend solution. However just like it, it can perfectly boil and poach your eggs and it is very easily cleaned. There is also an egg tray that will help you get your perfect hard boiled eggs from the machine to the sink where you can easily cool them down.

Still if you just want a decent perfect boiled egg and you are not a fan of poached eggs than the Egg Genie is the solution for you. It is less than half the price of the other cookers but that’s just because it only steam boils your egg. The great advantage about that is that you have not understood the meaning of easy to peal egg until you’ve pealed one that has been steamed cooked. And the great thing about this cooker is that coming in with a price tag of $10 you don’t even need to ask yourself if you really need it or not. If in 6 months you find that you haven’t really used it you can give it to a friend with a college going kid or the kid himself and his entire dorm room will have nice healthy perfect hard boiled egg breakfasts from then on.
